FAQs
How do we provide teletherapy services?
We provide both evaluations and treatment for students ranging from kindergarten through high school. Telepractice has been proven to be an evidence-based
approach and is an effective way to service students to help them reach their goals.
Assessments are completed by therapists face to face with the student using a secure, live video session. We have access to many assessment materials that can be completed online, such as the Goldman-Fristoe Test of Articulation-3rd Edition, Clinical Evaluation of Language Fundamentals-5th Edition and the Comprehensive Assessment of Spoken Language-2nd Edition. We use a secure online system which ensures that our evaluations are completed using standardized and compliant methods. Students will simply login to the necessary website on a computer and follow the therapist’s prompts.
Treatment and assessment is provided using Zoom, which can easily be accessed through a computer or tablet.

What do you do in speech and language therapy?
We believe in a multi-sensory and child-centered approach to learning. Therapy sessions are fun and engaging while also focused to make best use of the time. A very important part of therapy is establishing a strong client-therapist relationship. We will spend as much time as needed building rapport with your child so that they feel comfortable and ready to participate. Therapy activities might include focused table work, using graphic organizers, or hands-on sensory activities. They might include toys and games or role-playing various scenarios. It depends on what we are working on! We believe in involving parents in their child’s learning, so we will work with you on how to best support therapy goals at home.
